This page has two parts. Sections 1 to 19 cover the Win Your Money Back Challenge. Sections 20 to 34 cover Monthly Coaching at £88 every 4 weeks.

1. Introduction

Welcome to the Win Your Money Back Challenge (“the Challenge”). These Terms and Conditions explain how the Challenge operates, the rules for participation, and the eligibility criteria for refunds. By enrolling in the Challenge, you agree to these Terms.

AMS Johnston Coaching (“the Coach”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) may update these Terms from time to time. Changes do not apply retroactively: the Terms you accept at enrolment govern your Challenge. If a change materially affects current participants, we will notify you in writing and the change will only apply to you with your agreement.

2. Eligibility

  • The Challenge is open to individuals aged 18 years or over.
  • There are no geographical restrictions within the United Kingdom.
  • Both new and existing clients of AMS Johnston Coaching may participate.
  • By enrolling, you confirm that you are medically fit to participate and understand that you do so at your own risk. If you have any medical condition, are pregnant or breastfeeding, have a history of disordered eating, or take medication that affects your weight or metabolism, speak to your doctor before enrolling and tell us at onboarding.

3. The programme and the price

The Challenge is a paid, six-week coaching programme providing structured guidance, accountability, and the opportunity to qualify for a refund under the guarantees below.

The Challenge fee is £149, payable in full at registration. That is the total price: we are not registered for VAT, so no VAT is charged and there are no additional fees. It is a one-time payment. It does not auto-renew and does not commit you to any further purchase; continuing to coach with us afterwards is dealt with separately in Section 19.

Payment confirms acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

4. The guarantees

4.1 Unconditional Guarantee

You may request a full refund of your Challenge fee at any time during the six-week Challenge period, for any reason, with no questions asked. Refunds are processed within 7 working days via the original payment method. You keep access to any materials already provided.

4.2 Win Your Money Back Guarantee

If you complete the Challenge and qualify, meaning you score 85% or higher of your available points in every one of the six weeks and complete all non-negotiable tasks, you win your Challenge fee back. You may take it as a cash refund via your original payment method, or as credit towards further coaching. The choice is yours and is made once, at your endpoint call.

Participants who complete the Challenge but fall below 85% in one or more weeks do not qualify for the cash refund, but keep the full value of their Challenge fee as credit towards further coaching, as set out in Section 15.

4.3 Double Your Money Back Guarantee

If you qualify under the Win Your Money Back Guarantee above and you do not achieve any measurable result across your agreed markers, AMS Johnston Coaching will pay you double the original programme fee (£298). A measurable result means an improvement in at least one of the markers recorded at your onboarding, as defined in Section 6. Claims must be submitted within 7 days of completing the Challenge. Verification of compliance is required before any payment is processed, and approved payments are made within 14 working days. This guarantee does not apply where an uncontrolled medical condition affecting metabolism or body composition is a material factor, in line with the medical disclaimer in Section 12.

5. Your statutory right to cancel

Separately from our guarantees, UK law (the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013) gives you the right to cancel this contract within 14 days of purchase without giving any reason.

Our Unconditional Guarantee in Section 4.1 is broader than this statutory right: you can cancel for a full refund at any point in the six weeks, not just the first 14 days. Nothing in these Terms reduces your statutory rights.

Because the Challenge may begin within the 14-day cancellation period, by enrolling you expressly request that we begin providing services before the period ends, and you acknowledge that if you cancel after services have begun you may be charged a proportionate amount for what has been provided up to cancellation, although in practice our Unconditional Guarantee means we refund in full during the Challenge regardless.

To cancel, email adam@adamjohnston.uk with a clear statement that you wish to cancel. You may use the model cancellation form at the end of these Terms, but you do not have to.

6. Qualification criteria: the 85% rule

To qualify for the Win Your Money Back Guarantee:

  • You must achieve 85% or higher of total available points each week, for all six weeks.
  • Scoring 85% or higher on average across the Challenge is not sufficient. Consistency week on week is required.
  • Missing or falling below 85% in any individual week means you do not qualify for the cash refund or the Double Your Money Back Guarantee, though you keep your credit as set out in Section 15.
  • Points are earned for completing key daily and weekly actions, including but not limited to logging weight and progress metrics, completing prescribed training and cardio sessions, achieving daily step goals, logging and hitting nutrition targets, and completing assigned habits or mindset exercises.

All metrics are self-reported but tracked via the shared tracking system used within the Challenge. Participants are expected to log data truthfully and accurately.

Measurable results. For the purpose of the Double Your Money Back Guarantee, a measurable result means an improvement, versus your Week 1 baseline, in at least one of the following markers recorded in your tracker at onboarding: bodyweight, waist or girth measurement, progress photos, or a nominated strength or performance figure. Logged energy and hunger trends are recorded as supporting evidence. Your baseline is recorded at your onboarding call and the emphasis for your individual goal is agreed there. If any one of your agreed markers has improved by the end of the Challenge, a measurable result has been achieved and the Double Your Money Back Guarantee does not apply.

7. Non-negotiable tasks

To remain eligible for the Win Your Money Back or Double Your Money Back guarantees, participants must:

  1. Attend all required coaching calls, including the onboarding session, week 3 check-in, and week 6 review.
  2. Provide before and after photos in line with the supplied photo guidance. These photos are used for progress tracking and verification only. Whether we may also use them in marketing is a separate, entirely optional written consent (Section 14). Saying no to marketing use has no effect whatsoever on your refund or guarantee eligibility.
  3. Submit an honest testimonial, written or video, at the end of the Challenge. As with photos, any marketing use of your testimonial requires your separate written consent and is never a condition of any refund.

Failure to complete the non-negotiable tasks above may result in disqualification from refund eligibility (but never affects your Section 4.1 or statutory cancellation rights).

Posting on Instagram Story about the Challenge is encouraged and genuinely appreciated, but it is not a condition of refund eligibility. If you do post, tagging @adammartinjohnston is welcome, and participants may keep their profile private. Posts may be re-shared by AMS Johnston Coaching only with prior consent.

8. Cheating, dishonesty, and verification

Integrity is a cornerstone of this Challenge. To ensure fairness:

  • Participants may be asked at any time to provide screenshots or evidence of tracked data.
  • Requests will be made on an ad hoc or random basis.
  • Any deliberate falsification or fabrication of data, including steps, weight, cardio, or other metrics, will result in immediate disqualification without refund under the guarantees (your statutory rights are unaffected).
  • Minor discrepancies are acceptable within normal variance.
  • Consistent or substantial manipulation of results constitutes a breach of these Terms.

Decisions on disqualification are made at the sole discretion of the Coach. Participants who believe a decision was unfair may submit an appeal in writing via email within 7 days.

9. Conduct and communication

All participants are expected to communicate respectfully and professionally, adhere to agreed check-in schedules, and maintain confidentiality regarding Challenge materials and intellectual property. Abusive, inappropriate, or unprofessional behaviour may result in removal from the programme without refund under the guarantees.

10. Eligibility outcomes

Falling below 85% in any given week means you do not qualify for the cash refund or the Double Your Money Back guarantee for that Challenge. You remain in the Challenge, and provided you complete it, you keep the value of your Challenge fee as credit towards further coaching, as set out in Section 15.

Participants will be removed from the Challenge without refund or credit under the guarantees, and will not be eligible to re-enter, if any cheating or falsification is identified, required calls are missed, non-negotiable tasks are not completed, or behaviour breaches these Terms.

11. Results disclaimer

Individual results will vary depending on compliance, starting point, lifestyle factors, medical conditions, consistency, and effort. AMS Johnston Coaching does not guarantee specific weight loss, body composition changes, or performance outcomes outside the conditions expressly stated in these Terms.

12. Medical disclaimer

The Challenge is intended for educational and coaching purposes only and does not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Participants should consult a qualified healthcare professional before beginning any nutrition or exercise programme. Nutrition coaching complements, and does not replace, advice from your GP or prescribing clinician, particularly where medication such as GLP-1 treatments is involved.

13. Intellectual property

All programme materials, systems, PDFs, trackers, videos, coaching resources, and intellectual property remain the property of AMS Johnston Coaching and may not be copied, distributed, reproduced, or shared without prior written permission.

14. Data protection, photos and testimonials

All personal data collected during the Challenge is handled in accordance with UK GDPR and our Privacy Notice. Data is used for Challenge administration and progress tracking.

Before-and-after photos and testimonials are used in marketing only with your separate written consent, which is optional, is never a condition of participation or of any refund, and can be withdrawn at any time by emailing adam@adamjohnston.uk. Participants may request deletion of personal data at any time.

15. Refunds and credits

Where you qualify for money back under these Terms, you may take it via the original payment method or as credit towards further coaching. This choice is offered once, at your endpoint call. The credit is applied at that point and does not carry over as an open-ended voucher.

Participants who complete the Challenge but do not meet the 85% qualification in every week may not take a cash refund under the Win Your Money Back Guarantee. They keep the full value of their Challenge fee as credit towards further coaching, offered once at the endpoint call.

No refunds or credits are available under the guarantees to participants who are removed for cheating, missed calls, incomplete non-negotiables, or breach of these Terms. Your statutory rights, including the Section 5 cancellation right, are unaffected.

16. Complaints

If you are unhappy with anything, email adam@adamjohnston.uk and we will acknowledge your complaint within 7 days and aim to resolve it promptly and fairly. We are not currently subscribed to an alternative dispute resolution (ADR) scheme; if we cannot resolve a complaint, you retain all your legal remedies.

17. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the law of Northern Ireland. If you live elsewhere in the United Kingdom, you keep the benefit of any mandatory consumer protections of the part of the UK where you live, and you may bring proceedings in the courts of that part of the UK.

18. Acceptance of terms

By enrolling in the Win Your Money Back Challenge, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and Conditions in full.

19. Coaching after the Challenge (continuation)

19.1 The Challenge fee is a one-time payment for the six-week Challenge only. It does not auto-renew and does not roll into any further charge on its own.

19.2 During the Challenge you may be offered the option to continue with a separate 12-week coaching block. This is an optional, additional purchase. A credit against the block may be applied as set out to you at the time of the offer.

19.3 If you purchase the 12-week coaching block, at the end of that block your coaching continues automatically on a rolling month-to-month basis at the monthly rate confirmed to you in writing when you purchase the block, unless you cancel. This continuation, the rate, and how to cancel will be confirmed to you in writing at the point of purchase.

19.4 You may cancel the rolling monthly coaching at any time before your next monthly payment date, in writing by email or message. You will not be charged for the following month once you have cancelled.

19.5 The monthly rate offered on continuation is a loyalty rate earned by completing the full programme. It is held for as long as your coaching continues without interruption. If you cancel and later return, you return at the standard rate then in force.

19.6 We will remind you in writing before your coaching block ends that your coaching is about to continue on a rolling basis, including the rate and how to cancel.

Part 2: Monthly Coaching

20. Who this part covers

20.1 This part covers Monthly Coaching at £88 every 4 weeks, bought through the coaching payment link on this site. Sections 1 to 19 are the Win Your Money Back Challenge terms and do not apply to Monthly Coaching, except where this part says so (sections 16 and 17 in section 33).

20.2 “I”, “me” and “my” mean Adam Johnston, trading as AMS Johnston Coaching. My address and contact details are at the top of this page. “You” means the person who signs up and pays.

20.3 Monthly Coaching is for adults. You must be 18 or over to sign up.

21. What you get

21.1 A consultation form. You fill it in after you pay, and I build your plan from your answers.

21.2 Tracking days (Week 0). Before your plan starts you log your food, steps and training in the app, so your plan is built on your real numbers, not guesses.

21.3 A plan built for you, live from Week 1: calorie and macro targets, two meal plans and a set of emergency meals, supplement suggestions, two or three habits, a training plan, and step and cardio targets.

21.4 The app, where you see your plan and log each day, and a shared Google Drive folder for your progress photos and exercise videos.

21.5 A check in every Sunday: weight, measurements, photos and the weekly form. I read every one and adjust your plan when it needs it.

21.6 I coach you with reasonable care and skill.

22. What is not included

22.1 How we talk. Your coaching runs through the form, the app, the Sunday check in, and messages with me by email or WhatsApp. Calls are not a fixed part of Monthly Coaching; if you would like one, ask me and I will fit one in where I can. I do not promise a reply time.

22.2 No medical care. I do not diagnose, treat, or advise on medication, and Monthly Coaching is not treatment for an eating disorder.

22.3 Gym membership, equipment, food and supplements are yours to buy.

22.4 No promised result. I do not promise you will lose or gain a set amount in a set time. Results depend on your starting point, your health and how closely you follow the plan.

23. How the first weeks work

23.1 After you pay, I email you your consultation form.

23.2 Send the form back by 23:59 on Wednesday and your plan starts the following Monday. Send it later and it starts the Monday after that.

23.3 The days between your form and that Monday are your tracking days: you log your food as normal in the app and take your baseline measurements and photos on the Sunday. Your plan starts on the Monday. That is Week 1, your start date.

23.4 Your first paid 4 weeks start on the day you pay, not on the day your plan starts. It covers your form, your setup and your tracking days, and the sooner you send the form back, the sooner your plan starts (23.2).

24. Price and payment

24.1 Monthly Coaching costs £88 every 4 weeks (13 payments a year, not 12). I am not registered for VAT, so no VAT is charged and there are no other fees.

24.2 You pay every 4 weeks in advance by card through Stripe. The first payment is taken when you sign up, then every 4 weeks on the same weekday. It renews automatically every 4 weeks until your coaching ends.

24.3 Payments show as AMS Johnston Coaching on your bank statement and your receipt.

24.4 I never see or hold your card details. To change your card, use the Stripe link in my emails.

24.5 If a payment fails, Stripe tries again over the following days and emails you a link to update your card. If every attempt fails, your coaching ends as set out in section 27. You can come back by updating your card and messaging me.

25. Your 14 day right to cancel

25.1 You can cancel within 14 days without giving any reason. The 14 days end 14 days after the day you sign up.

25.2 To cancel, tell me clearly in any way: email adam@adamjohnston.uk, reply to any email from me, or message me on WhatsApp. You can use the cancellation form at the end of this page, but you do not have to.

25.3 Starting straight away. Your coaching starts as soon as you pay: I send your form and build your setup inside the 14 days. When you tick the box at checkout you agree to these terms and you ask me to start straight away.

25.4 If you cancel within the 14 days, you pay only for the coaching you have had up to the day you tell me, worked out as a share of the £88 4 week period. I refund the rest to the card you paid with, within 14 days of the day you tell me.

25.5 Starting straight away does not take away your right to cancel within the 14 days.

26. Ending your coaching after the 14 days

26.1 Monthly Coaching rolls on in 4 week periods. There is no minimum term and you can end it at any time.

26.2 To end it, tell me clearly in any of the ways in 25.2. I then cancel your subscription in Stripe.

26.3 Your coaching ends at the end of the 4 weeks you have already paid for. You keep full coaching until then and you are not charged again.

26.4 I ask for 30 days notice where you can give it, so I can plan. It is a request, not a condition. Whenever you tell me, 26.3 applies.

26.5 If a payment goes out after you have told me you are ending, I refund it in full.

26.6 When you tell me, I reply in writing to confirm the date your coaching ends.

26.7 I can decide not to continue your coaching. I tell you in writing before your next payment is due. You keep full coaching to the end of your paid 4 weeks and you are not charged again.

26.8 If you are abusive or rude to me, I can end your coaching straight away by telling you in writing. You are not charged again. The current 4 weeks are not refunded.

26.9 If you repeatedly do not follow the plan or engage with the coaching after I have raised it with you, I can end your coaching straight away by telling you in writing. You are not charged again and I refund the unused days of your paid 4 weeks.

27. When your coaching ends

27.1 On the day your paid 4 weeks end your app link stops working and your access to your shared folder is removed. There is no grace period.

27.2 Save anything you want to keep, such as photos or plan pages, before that day.

27.3 Your records are kept for 12 months as section 30 explains, so if you come back within that time you pick up where you left off.

28. Changes to the price or these terms

28.1 I change the price or these terms only for a valid reason: a rise in my costs, a change in the law, or a change in how the coaching is delivered.

28.2 I tell you in writing at least 30 days before a change applies to you.

28.3 A change never applies to a 4 week period you have already paid for. If you do not want the change, you can end your coaching before it applies and you pay nothing at the new price.

29. Your health

29.1 Monthly Coaching is nutrition and training coaching. It is not medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, and it does not replace your GP, specialist or prescriber, especially if you take medication such as weight loss injections.

29.2 Check with your GP before you start a new diet or training plan, especially if you have a medical condition, are pregnant, or have not trained for a long time.

29.3 The form asks about your heart, blood pressure, diabetes, pregnancy, eating disorder history, recent surgery and medication. I read your answers before your plan goes live, and I may ask you to speak to your GP first or build your plan around them.

29.4 Tell me straight away if your health changes during your coaching, for example a new diagnosis, new medication, pregnancy or an injury.

29.5 Stop any exercise that causes chest pain, dizziness or sharp pain, and get medical help.

30. Your health answers and your data

30.1 Your health answers are special category data under UK GDPR, which means the law protects them more closely than your other details.

30.2 I only use them with your explicit consent, which you give with a separate tick on the form, not by agreeing to these terms.

30.3 I use them only to build, check and adjust your plan.

30.4 They are stored in my Google account (Forms, Sheets, Drive and Gmail). Who else handles your data, and why, is in the Privacy Notice.

30.5 You can withdraw your consent at any time by messaging me, as easily as you gave it. I then stop using your health answers. If I cannot coach you safely without them, I tell you, and you can end your coaching with no further payments.

30.6 When your coaching ends, your app and folder access are removed and your folder is moved into my past clients archive.

30.7 I keep your health answers, plan, logs, check ins, photos and videos for 12 months after your coaching ends, in case of a complaint and so you can pick up where you left off if you come back within that time. Then I delete them. I keep your name, email address, mobile number and what you bought for up to 3 years so I can tell you about coaching offers; every such message has an opt out, and you can ask me to delete these at any time.

30.8 You can ask for a copy of your data, ask me to correct or delete it, object to how I use it, or complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office. The Privacy Notice has the details.

30.9 Your progress photos are for tracking your progress. I only use a photo or a testimonial in marketing with your separate written permission, and saying no never affects your coaching.

31. Plans and materials

31.1 Your plans, trackers, the app, guides and videos belong to AMS Johnston Coaching. You can use them for yourself, during your coaching and after it, but you must not share, sell or publish them.

31.2 Your own answers, logs and photos stay yours.

32. My responsibility to you

32.1 If I fall short of reasonable care and skill, tell me and I will put it right.

32.2 Nothing in these terms limits my liability for death or personal injury caused by my negligence, or for anything else the law does not let me limit.

32.3 I am not responsible for loss that neither of us could have expected when you signed up.

32.4 Nothing in these terms takes away your legal rights as a consumer.

33. Complaints and the law

33.1 Complaints work as in section 16: email me and I acknowledge your complaint within 7 days.

33.2 Monthly Coaching is governed by the law of Northern Ireland, as in section 17. If you live elsewhere in the United Kingdom, you keep the consumer protections of the part of the UK where you live, and you can bring proceedings in its courts.

34. Agreeing to these terms

34.1 At checkout there is a box to tick to agree to these terms. It is never ticked for you. Ticking it and paying means you agree to this part and ask me to start straight away (25.3).

34.2 After you pay you get your Stripe receipt and my welcome email, which confirm your coaching in writing.
